The Generative Art below is coded based on a graphic design I made for an apparel project.
With each new refresh, the shapes will take a new form based on the perimeters of the code. Take it for a spin by hitting the center fresh button and see what comes up. Colors shift according to the Kp value—which is a measure of geomagnetic activity. This visualization shows how weather from the sun and space changes our magnetosphere. Data is roughly the previous 24 hours from NOAA Kp Index. The data is refreshed every 12 hours.
Earth Core - Hue shifts; glow intensifies with higher Kp
Field Lines - Warp/bend increases with Kp; gives turbulent effect
MagnetoRibbons - Radius & wave motion become more chaotic. Kp value controls the amount of wobble in the ribbon radius. Time: Moves and morphs the ribbons over time.
